Farewell, Cassini: The probe has reached the end of its 20-year mission by diving into Saturn
Cassini. The end.
Cassini was a probe spacecraft sent by NASA and the European Space Agency to study the planet Saturn and its moons. The probe was sent on October 15th, 1997, from the Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex in Florida, and went into orbit around Saturn on July 1st, 2004. Cassini reached the end of its mission on September 15th, 2017.
